On September 15, 1963 white supremacist terrorists bombed the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. More than 20 people were injured. Four little girls were killed and one survived. We honor their memories and names, today: Denise McNair (11), Cynthia Wesley (14), Carol Robertson (14), and Addie Mae Collins (14) were killed. Addie Mae’s sister, Sarah Collins Rudolph was 12 at the time and survived.#HumanRights

We (my mom, me, and our driver) were literally heading back home toward Middle Tennessee (from my doctor appointment in Memphis,Tn) when we received anย  โ€œDangerous Escapeeโ€ alert.ย ย

That alert was terrifying, and then to actually find out what had happened (regrading the reason for the alert) is just awful and heartbreaking!ย
